Do you want to be part of an important societal mission with the opportunity to make a difference for the future Armed Forces? The Strategy Unit at the Armed Forces Headquarters is now looking for a structured and meticulous information officer (civil servant). We warmly welcome your application!

About the Unit

The Strategy Unit consists of approximately 130 employees and is divided into four departments that operate in the areas of defense planning, policy issues and international relations, strategic planning, as well as research and development. All departments within the unit work closely with the Chief of the Armed Forces Headquarters and the agency management. The Strategy Unit is also responsible for establishing a comprehensive picture of international cooperation and collaboration within the framework of total defense development.

The Strategy Unit at the Armed Forces Headquarters is part of the Armed Forces' central leadership and headquarters. The unit leads, among other things, the preparation of materials for the Chief of Defense's military strategic leadership.

Main Responsibilities

You support managers and departments in staff service, focusing on document management, information management, and information security. The role involves ongoing collaboration with several levels of leadership and staff within the Armed Forces and participating in – and if necessary leading – staff work in various forms.

You are responsible for coordinating and developing information flows, the structure of command support and information systems, and ensuring that documents are handled correctly throughout the process. The work includes giving directives for the registration, distribution, storage, and archiving of information, as well as ensuring an appropriate document structure on the section's and unit's collaboration areas.

In addition, you lead the work on standards for naming and case management, develop working methods and functions in the systems, and ensure that relevant publications and documents are available. You will also train employees in command support and information systems. The role may also involve tasks related to signal protection service.
